The Steel City Baseball Classic is one of the premier summer baseball tournaments in the Southeast. This event attracts travel organizations interested in showcasing their skills in front of college and professional scouts. Our goal is to provide teams with a high level of competition and the opportunity to play in state of the art venues surrounding beautiful Birmingham, Alabama. The Steel City Baseball Classic is a STAY-TO-PLAY event. This means all players and coaches who are traveling within a 100-mile radius will agree to stay in the designated properties. The official home site of this event is the Hoover Metropolitan Complex. Each team will minimally need to reserve five rooms per night for a minimum of 3 nights (15 total rooms). Team administrators and coaches are responsible to make sure their team complies with this policy, as TEAMINN and SCBC will be auditing hotel rooming list for violations.
Each team has the option to opt out of the stay-to-play policy for a penalty fee of $300 paid directly to Steel City Baseball LLC prior to the start of the event.

REGISTERED TEAMS
The schedule will be posted on the SportsEngine Tourney App on May 27th. All teams must be ready to play as early as 2:00pm CST on Wednesday, June 3 and as late as the 4:30pm CST game time on Sunday, June 7 unless notified by SCBC staff.
Note to out of town teams (stay-to-play): Your start day and earliest game time start has been communicated to your coaches.

Please note that cancelled games due to rain will be made up only if a team plays less than 3 games, depending on field availability.
