The Steel City Baseball Classic is a STAY-TO-PLAY event. All players and coaches who are traveling outside a 100-mile radius of Birmingham, AL agree to stay at the designated properties.
To respect the financial cost and time of our out-of-town organizations, these teams will have their 5 games scheduled over a 4-day consecutive window with their first game of the event starting no earlier than 11:20am ct to allow for same day travel. Only teams that meet the required booking nights will have the option to play their 5 games Wed-Sat or Thurs-Sun. Please contact your organization's administrator for scheduling details.
Each team is required to reserve at least seven rooms per night for a minimum of 3 nights (21 total nights). Administrators and coaches are responsible to make sure their team complies with this policy, as SCBC staff will audit hotel reservations for violations.
We thank you and understand the financial cost and sacrifices of travel baseball. By booking with our TEAM INN hotel provider, this helps SCBC continue our great relationship with the city of Birmingham and Hoover AL.
